Let’s Dance Brooklyn’s dance program teaches the young dance student the basic elements of movement, dance, the concept of space and how we relate to it both as an individual and as a member of a group.
Our program offers children an opportunity to begin to learn basic classroom behavior such as taking turns, following another dancer, leading the way, waiting patiently, working together with others and having a positive attitude. It is a fact that training young children in the concepts of movement sequencing, patterning and spatial relationships provides a strong foundation for later development of reading, mathematics and other educational skills. Children in both our Parent & Child Dance and Creative Ballet Program work actively in all these areas. Most importantly, children learn a love and respect for dance which will stay with them their entire lives.
All students must enroll in a full or pro-rated session. We do not offer drop-ins unless otherwise noted. Children may make up missed classes at any age-appropriate class. Please e-mail ahead of time so we can let the teacher know.
Parent & Child DanceAges walking-3 years
This program offers young children, parents and caregivers a chance to explore dance and creative movement in a fun and friendly environment. A great intro to a group class. Our program helps to develop motor, vocabulary and listening skills while being exposed to a variety of ethnic, classical, and folk music. Children use scarves, ribbon wands and instruments to develop there imagination and creativity. This program has two age groups: (Walking-24 months ) & (25 months- 40 months). Creative Ballet Program
